How come we can't get pregnant?

im 16 & engaged me & my fience have been together for a long time..me & my fience are trying to have a baby & it not really working..can anybody tell me what im doing rough or tell how can I get pregnant..& yes me & my fience have sat down & thought about the whole baby thing & he is also ready for one 2..so can anyone help me

I hope you have a ring and a date and are financially/emotionally established..many people, if not most, are not the same people at 21 that they were at 16..no need to ‘rush’..I wish you the best !!

Make sure you are making the right decision. A lot of young people want a baby, but for selfish reasons. They just want the baby even though they can’t care for one. So make sure you have:

-health care -regular ob-gyn visits -money -a place of your own with room for another person, this could mean renting or owning, but living in Mommy’s basement doesn’t really count -prenatal vitamins -knowledge of prenatal and child development -an education -an understanding of your cycle and your fertility

At 16, chances are you cannot give a baby everything it deserves.

Also, at 16, how long could you possibly even been trying for a baby? Sometimes it takes a year or more to have a baby. We’re only at peak fertility a couple of days per month after all. If you’re trying to get pregnant, you should already know all about your fertility and when you are most fertile. If you don’t know that stuff, you should hold off on trying for a baby until you do some research.
