what do you think, Im a 15 year old girl.. Im 5'8 and I weigh 135lbs, but im wanna loose 15-20 lbs to help me with modeling. Too much?

Answer #1

yes, thats WAY too much, you are a normal weight. any place that would happily take you when you look anorexic is a horrible place, and sadly thats just about every modelling agency there is. no, dont loose weight, your a perfectly healthy and normal weight, you dont need to loose any. if a modelling agnecy tell you to loose weight, tell them to f*ck off and look elsewere, you really dont need to loose anything. but if you want to risk your health and be unhealthy just to get a job, thats your decision

Answer #2

YES IT IS, IF THEY DONT WANT YOU LIKE YOU ARE NOW THEN WHY CHANGE FOR SOMEONE ELSE? THERE ARE AGENCIES THAT DONT LOOK AT WEIGHT. ITS JUST RIDICULOUS HOW SOME PEOPLE WILL LITTERLY STARVE AND CHANGE THEY WHOLE SELF JUST TO GET A JOB AS A MODEL. YES U MAY LIKE IT BUT YOU GOTTA LOOK AT YOURSELF AND LOVE YOURSELF AND IF THEY CANT ACCCEPT YOU LIKE HOW YOU ARE THEN MOVE ON TO THE NEXT. OVERALL IT UP TO YOU AND AT YOUR WEIGHT YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO LOOSE ANYMORE BUT BEST WISHES TO YOU

Answer #3

At the age of 15, and the height of 5’8, the average weight is 140lbs.

The average weight for a 15 year old girl, that is 5ft. is 100lbs. you add 5lbs. to each inch over 5ft.

So you are 5lbs. under the average weight for your age, which is good. Honestly I think your weight is fine, and you shouldn’t feel pressured to lose a lot just because of other people, or because people say or are too big or anything like that. If you really want to lose some weight, I wouldn’t lose no more that 10-15 at your age and weight. Since you are 5lbs. under the average weight. If you do decide to lose the weight, you should do it the healthy way. Eat right and exercise, don’t take pills, they don’t work. Some make you lose weight fast, but they don’t keep it off, you gain it right back after you stop taking them, so you would have to take them for the rest of your life. Plus it isn’t healthy.

I wish the best for you, and I hope you don’t get into all those pills, and rapid weight loss. You can damage your body. Good luck! :)

Answer #6

Weight is good, like they all said. If they don’t like it, they’re the losers. The market is changing, you stay at a healthy weight. It will work out.

Answer #7

If they have plus size models, I am sure they can have some that is 5lbs. under the average weight for their age…I mean sheesh, what is with all these people telling others if you aren’t like 90lbs. we can’t accept you as a model….that is f*cked up…seriously…

Answer #8

well it depends are you modeling for a halloween skeleton costume or real people…? Yes its way too much, Does anyone else notice that in america we are the only people who really struggle in weigh, i mean common now in other countries being yourself is more than a delicacy, you have to be skinny to do certain sports, Unlike belly dancing oyu can be real chunky, they say the chunkier the better but most americans are brain washed to the VICTORIAS SECRET CATALOG, and they look real hungry by the way im not saying this to be nit-picking im 5’’7 and 140lbs and loving it

Answer #9

Answer #10

CAnt listen to the people who keep saying that youre perfect the way you are. You have to almost anorexic to do runway.THey make there clothing for size double zeros. THey dont make exceptions for a girl who loves herself, and everything about herself “just the way she is”. My agencey doesnt give a crap about me, and I accept and understand this. They know and we the mnodels know that were all apart of a bigger picture. Were not apart of this sing along happy day I love myself fat and all world. In the world of modeling if you dont look right, feel right, sound right, youre not right…meaning that youre not in.
