if you were a parent...

if you were a parent and your daughter was 17 would you allow her to date a 23 year old? If not what would be your reasoning and thoughts about this. How old is too old or do you believe age is just a number?

Answer #1

also do try to learn as much as you can about this guy because so far the girls I no who have dated older always end up getting screwed over evn tho the guy seemed nice at first

Answer #2

age is just a number love is what really counts heck if a 70 year old and a 20 year old is in love then let them be cause you cant stop love

Answer #3

well it depends about how he is if he treats your daughter right and respects you then I dont see why not but if it isnt like that then no

Answer #4

before I met my boyfreind I beleived I would never date anyone 2 (maximum 3) years older than me my boyfreind is 5 years older than me (im 19, hes 24) but when I met him I though he was around the same age as I was and he doesnt act like hes that old, he acts like hes my age so yes, in some cases age can just be a number and you could end up loving someone a lot younger or older than you but then again sometimes teens just date older guys because they can drive, legally can get alcohol, ect only your daughter knows what shes feeling id suggest talking to her about it…him and her feelings, and your feelings as well maybe get to know the guy first and then ask yourself if you want them dating or not
