I want bright red hair

my hair is black help me get it bright red please

Answer #1

I decided to go red using ‘schwarzkopf live XXL’ in the bright red shade. it didnt turn my hair bright red but it worked a bit, after that a got told by a hair dresser not to use that dye because it doesnt make your hair any lighter and makes the darker parts of your hair go a really dark red colour and also makes it a lot harder to dye it back brighter. instead of using live XXL I used L’Oreal in the bright red shade, it didn’t turn my hair BRIGHT red in the first dye but I’v died it twice using L’Oreal now and its got really bright :)

NO! NO! NO! you do NOT need to bleach your hair, no matter if its natural black or not… That is sooo old school. There is a product sold only at Sally’s and possibly other beauty supply stores called: “Loreal HiColor line” it is in a tube and you need to mix it with peroxide sold sep. also at sallys. Its simple. You can also buy a plastic mix bottle there to reuse. THIS STUFF IS GOLD.. it is especially formulated to dye DARK HAIR RED, there are several reds shades to choose, from mild to WILD. Its an awesome product and eliminates you having to pre- lighten. That is NOT needed with this miracle product.

Its cheaper than store bought stuff too. As you will have leftover peroxide. The volume you use will most likey be 30 or 40 ask the clerk dependant on your color.

Ciao and happy REDHEAD DAYS.

I’ve been coloring my own hair for 4 years many colors blue black orange pink blonde but there some hair dyes that comes with a good bleaching set with them but usly if you have dark hair you will have to buy an extra one.first you bleach your hair and to help not cause a lot of damage becuse bleach can fry your hair.after you bleach it leave conditioner in it I prefer and mixture of olive oil mixed with mayo(weird but works the best) leave that in for a a day or so then cleach it again witch will make it a lite blonde do the same as with the first one conditioner then die it but when you die it makesure to git all of the dye out becuse if you dont sometimes when your wet or sweating the dye will run down your face

I wanted to do the exact same thing years ago and it took me years to finally get it right—is black your NATURAL color? if so, if you put red dye on it it may turn it vivid orangey or gold. otherwise, lighten it up a bit and WAIT A LITTLE WHILE before putting the red dye on. don’t bleach it platinum or it’ll destroy it, light brown is fine.

if your hair is DYED black and not natural…you might have to weed out your color for a few more months if you don’t want your hair to fall out from all the chemicals

Answer #5

Yup, what stephanie said. Bleach it first and then dye it red for best results. Try not to do this yourself as the results mat not be so good..

Answer #6

You’d neat to bleach it first - so make sure you go get it professionally bleached or get a really good bleaching kit or else it will turn orange. THEN you can dye it bright red and have really good results.
