I wanna move now!!

I live in Illinois and I hate living here my mom and step dad. I wanna move to south carolina with my real dad where I feel welcome. im 15 going to be 16 in january. Can I do this now or do I have to wait?

Answer #1

you can emancipate yourself after you turn 16.. but I think it costs a lot and you have to have a steady job and be able to afford a place to live and be able to take care of yourself.. but you dont wanna move.. I am turning 19 and moved out of my parents house about 2 and a half months ago and I am actually moving back in because its hard being on your own.. just stick with it a little longer.. keep yourself busy so you dont have to stay in the house all the time..

Answer #2

ummm it depends on if they have joint custody or if your mom had full custody …if she has full its impossible but if they have joint talk to your dad about it and make sure its okay with him then have him talk to her.

Answer #3

just don’t make any reckless moves.. try talking to your mom and dad about moving,,tell them how do you feel..what you want..they will help you

good luck

Answer #4

Just keep begging your mom. She just might let you.
