It depends on what you did and what type of work your looking for. Don’t listen to that other guy. I have to state numbers from cali and still could find work. Check with the unemployment office, in Long Beach there’s free training and help from Pacific Gateway Workforce. Also look up the JTPA - job training partnership act. It was a program that found jobs for felons and helped with tools and stuff. I used them in 90’s to land a union job. Also after 7yrs your record expunges itself, BUT!!! pay attention, only for privite sector jobs, not any type of government, city job, etc. After 10yrs you can go thru the public defenders office to apply for a certificate of rehabilitation. I’m in process of doing this. Your arrests will never go away, period, If you get your DOJ report you’ll see everything on your record. I currently work for a state school system as a maintenance tech and told them of my past. So you can get work. If you need more answers hit me up.
