How can my friend and I stop cutting?

my friend is trying to stop cutting an d so am i and we made a deal that if one of us cuts the other one gets to cut as many times as the other did to stop eachother and she broke the promise and i dont know what to do or how to help her at all and im really worried cuz last time she cut she ended up in the hospital and her parents dont really care

Your friend & you should both seek some professional help. I don’t have personal experience with this issue, but something as serious as this definitely requires personal counseling, therapy, or other type of personal consultation.

This friend of your’s needs to seek help from a counsellor/psychologist/doctor.

It seems to me that there is a psychological explanation for this but were not qualified to give out counselling.

If your friend has ended up in hospital before, and is still continuing self-harm, she requires professional help and so do you to underpin the reason why you are doing as such to yourself.
