I need helpe with a trial for my class.

ok so this is the script im using, I need someone to help me get 10 questions out of this that the prosecutors will ask.

I am a kentucky farmer who had previously worked for jhon bacon and knew the escaped slave john. I have also worked as a constable and have tracked fugitive slavess into ohio on a number of occasions. in fact about a month after john’s escape I traveled nearly fifty miles into fayette county in persuit of him.

I am tall, have red hair and whiskers, and I speak with a thick kentucky accent.

1. I recall seeing the escaped slave john shortley before christmas day 1856.

2. john bacon told me around new year’s day that his slaves had escaped, probably to ohio.

3.I describe john as ‘’dark as copper color, not jet black’’, weighing about 150 to 160 pounds and about 5 foot 8 to 5 foot ten inches tall. he had a fuul face and was quite good looking.

4. on september 4 1858, I went with john bacon to the mason county courthouse to make out a ‘’pwer of attourney’’ so that me and another kentucky farmer, Anderson Jennings, could go to oberlin ohio. on behalf of mr. bacon and mr. loyd to retrieve their escaped property. I was given the ‘’power of attourney’’ made out in the name of anderson jennings plus $50 to cover expenses.

5. pwer off attourney in hand, I took a steamboat from maysville to cinncinnati and then a train to morth via columbus to wellington, from there I went by carriage to oberlin where I checked into the wack’s hotel and met up with jennings on september 8.

6. I recognized john immediently when he walked past the hotel shortly after I arrived.

7.jennings and I decided that more help was needed to capture these slave since the townspeople where pottentially hostile. so while I remained in oberlin, jennings went to nearby columbus to recruit two other slave catchers: deputy marshall love and assistant deputy samuel davis.

8. a plot wws devised in which a young boy would lure john into an ambush

9.on september 13 about one and a half miles outside oberlin, the two deputies and I arrested john and took him to nearby wellington where I met up with jennings.

10. I always carry a pistol and a knife, but will deny ever showing them to john or threatning anybody.

11. I was present throughout the day in welllington hotelbesieged by the oberlin townspeople intent on rescuing john.

12. I showed the power of attourney and a warrant for john’s arrest to several people, I will also claim that john actually wanted to gp back to kentucky to ‘’see his old misstress and master’’

13. I saw the men break into the hotell and take john, but I didnt recognize or know any of them.

14.I looked out the hotel window and saw the buggy drive off with john, but I couldnt identify the driver of the buggy as being the defendent,
