Why isn't it as easy as it seems to lose weight?

I am 14 years old. I am 5 feet 6 and im 215 pounds. I am very attractive, a lot of girls say so but the only problem with me is that I am overweight. I am fat and that is stopping me from talking to girls. when me and my friends go to the beach because we live in California they take off their shirts and they all have six packs, and all the girls talk to them. I am afraid to take off my shirt because I have man boobs. My doctor also said I am close to diabetes and things are just going wrong with my weight. people say lift weights, eat right, do this, do that but it is not as easy as it seems can someone help me because I am tired of obesity taking over my life

Well, you are going to have to start exercising and managing your diet. Period. If you are having problems getting started, try to make a competition with one or two of your friends. My own friend went from 260lb to 180lb in 3 months, it can be done. For starters, just do pushups and situps, jumping jacks, etc. You are also going to have control what you eat. Fish is good, chicken, rice, veggies, greens, avoid red meat as it contains a lot of saturated fat.

well- everyone is different, some people burn calories easier than others, you could have a thyroid problem, in which case- your doctor would be able to recomend a course of treatment. I guess the best thing to do is tell your doctor about your concerns,a and proceed from there. he would be able to direct you to a nutritionist who would be able to give you healthy advice on how to lose some weight. also, sometimes peoples metablolism will change as they get older, you might be heavy now- but in 4 years-who knows, your metabolism might speed up- and you could get thin. talk to your doctor about it.
