I live in texas. my friend is on parole until aug. 2010.

hes on the run right now. if he were to make on the street until his date of discharge (aug.2010), will he still be discharged?

Answer #1

HI! Sorry, but no, your friend being on the run has broken his parole, which basically adds another criminal charge to him. Here in Ohio, it is a felony, but I can’t speak for Texas. So your friend must decide, run for the rest of his life, always looking over his shoulder for the cops, or turn himself in, beg for the court’s mercy and give them as good a reason you ran as you possibly can, then serve whatever time is given to you, and serve the time cleanly. Good luck! Don

Answer #2

If he’s on the run and gets caught, will they not just put him back in for breaking parole?

Answer #3

He would have been better off living out his parole and calling it a day…he’s now considered a fugitive.
