Should I move on if my crush has a girlfriend?

Ok I like a guy who’s a senior just like me. We are both 17 years old. I like him and I know he likes me. Why you ask? Because he told me so. The only problem is that he has a girlfriend. But the thing is he only considers her to be his companion. Now in my eyes if you have a boyfriend wouldn’t you want that title of being his girlfriend and not his companion? He even claims that he really wants to break up with her but that it hard to get her off his back. She buys him hats, nike flip flops, and other little things just for the heck of it. My question is should I continue to pursue this guy because we like each other or should I move on because he is still in relationship?

Move on because he is a player! He wants to break up with her, but its hard to get her off his back? Nice lines hes feeding you hun! If you wanna bite, then go for it, but he doesnt sound like a very genuine guy to me! He must be getting something besides material things from his “companion”. Doesnt sound like he knows how to have a relationship, but thats for you to find out!
