I just wrote the best book ever!!! :) :)

My wife just ‘self published’ a travel book on Amazon. She only sold three copies in the first week….but, three is better than zero, by far. It only took her a few hours to get it organized to publish on Amazon with their kindle direct publishing thing.

You can also use smashwords.com, or the latest version of pages, by Apple (part of iwork) to create and submit something directly to their ibookstore.

I’d strongly recommend starting there, if you haven’t published it yet and then look into createspace.com (also by amazon) or outskirtspress.com or similar.

THEN, while it’s (hopefully) selling in ebook format, you can follow directions in one of the howtos on our site about soliciting a regular publishing house.

Amanda Hocking, a self published author, sold more than a few million ebooks then only a few weeks ago, inked a 2 million dollar deal for a four book series with a regular publishing house.

It’s not impossible, just takes a lot of writing and hard work. Good luck :)
