What does an advisor do anyway?

What does an advisor do anyway? I just came from yahoo answers and I have no idea whats going on.

simply give advice to people who ask, we are here to help people who are goin thru things and need a lil help by getting other peoples perspective who have no personal involvement in the issue. An outsiders perspective sometimes really helps.

Hi there-

On Yahoo Answers, the staff of Yahoo moderates the site sometimes, deals with flames, etc…on FunAdvice, the advisors sometimes do the same. An advisor on FunAdvice is analogous to a moderator, in many ways, on a traditional web forum such as those made with the phpBB or similar software. FunAdvice was made speficially to help people ask questiosn, get answers, and make friends.
