How can I get out of this major ticket?

So i got a ticket last nite, for driving with no insurance like a dummy, because I just bought this car and I was driving it home. I recently moved to Raleigh NC from Hawaii last year and still have an out of state license, the car wasn’t registered in my name yet, but I sold it that same nite for 2 grand, what could I do to get out of this? i was thinking saying i was visiting and was driving my friend’s car (He bought my jeep). I still get mail at my old address, can any one give me some advice? if i lose my license i cant see my g/f any more either….
