I don't get this..?

Well, today I was with my uncle - he was driving to the gas - station for my grandmaw but took me with him. There was this guy named Brandon he knew - he said hey what’s up and all that good stuff - but when I got out of the car he was paying more attention to me. :) I almost fell on my face because of my stupid flipflop, because of the feeling I got when we looked at each other - I know this sounds sappy but - I felt really good! He grinned/smiled at me but didn’t look away. Then finally talked to my uncle. Anyway I looked down and tried to fix my shoe. I was smiling to myself, very happy too! I walked around the car and I looked at him again - he grinned again then went along with his business. I questioned my uncle about him he said he was either 16 or 17. More than likely 16 though. What does this meen. I’m still…excited from earlier. But I’m so confused.
