I don't enjoy being shyyy!!

I seriously think my shy.. ness is going to become a real problem.. And I don’t know what to do about it. I hate it. I’ve basically failed a class because I’m so shy.. Which is not ok at all.. I can’t talk to people at school. Or at least not first. I don’t know how to make conversation. Like.. I’m way into horses and what not. And I’m so used to being able to talk about my horses and all to my barn friends.. But I’ve got nothing to say to people at school who wouldn’t even get half of what I’ve got to say.

But anyways.. I’m way to shy. Any advice? It’d be much apreciated. I’m dying heree. :(

Hmm well are there any other interests you have that might be similar to other people in your school? But the truth is, you won’t know until you ask. Maybe if you talk to someone you might find out that they actually like the same things as you. You never know. It might be easier than you think.

I’d suggest just trying to block everything from you mind (I.e. forget about what someone might think about you or if you’re embarrassed) and just go up to someone and say hi or strike up a conversation. Say something easy to say, like, “do you know how to spell __” in class or something…

Do you know why you think you’re shy? Maybe if you find out why you might be able to try and control your thoughts… is it because you’re easily embarrassed? Because trust me if someone looks shy it’s a more awkward sight for the person watching then if that person was confident.

Just try not to take it too hard on yourself, it’s ok to be shy but maybe just taking it one step at a time and talking to a few people more. Forget about what people think, who cares. Just be yourself and go for it.

well to start a conversation off when you walk into a room ask if you can sit next to them or somthing, or just keep smiling & then if they smile back you know you cant sorta start off a friendly convo and say hi. ya now.
