Hurt My Toe...2 Months ago

Ran over my foot pulling golf cart out of the mud and rear cage ran over my big toe.Limped for about two days and was fine. I have full range of motion in all my toes but nail is black almost completely.Anything I should do? What should I do?? Thanks for the advise. Oh yeah…does not hurt at all…

No. Do not poke the hole. Too late now. Only works at the first few hours. The black under your nail is the blood that would’ve have come out out of the hole.

What will happen now is that a new nail will start growing underneath that and you will shed your old nail. But the new nail may grow to be different than the rest of your nails.

Like 6 years ago the same thing happened to me while working at a shipping facility a big metal ramp used for forklift landed on my toes. Rapidly under my toe nail blood began to accumulate with horrible pressure.

I remember something similar happened to me while in the military and a medic in the field had to use a sterile needle in the middle of the nail to let the blood out.

I did the same and relieved the pressure at home. My wife was grossed out. My big toenail never grew the same after that accident. Now is like all fat and flaky like if it had fungus. Sorry to gross people out.

So should I poke a hole in the nail.It does not hurt and I don’t have any pressure…
