Hunting Dogs

Does anyone have any advice on how to train a year old pup to hunt birds?

I know how to teach him commands, but I want to get him used to scents of birds and how to track them

well, he is quite old for training wise. you should have started about 6 months ago… you can still do it but it may be hard. try the command sit first

tell it to sit and if it dont hit it on the but then make it stay then throw somthin

DONT MAKE YOUR DOG HUNT BIRDS THATS MEAN.

My dad would us goose wings to train. and a vibrating collar, make sure you shoot around the dog so it can get use to the gun shot.
