human body

why are we born with double(ex: 2 eyes,2hands,2 arms…etc.)

Answer #1

Symmetry! I wouldn’t want to enter a pool with half my self. ‘Sides, it is the way God planned us. Even if we have had a stroke or other debilitating anomaly, we are still made for and in His Glory!

Answer #2

If we were’nt born double of hands, etc., it would terribly affect our symmetry.besides, I think the symmetry would be related to the divine number,pi.

Answer #3

Obvious - we have evolved from fishes (all vertebrates have), and if a fish did not have bilateral symmetry it would swim around in circles. That would put an end to its reproductive competitiveness, and such an animal would become extinct very rapidly

Answer #4

hmm. interesting question. I think we have a set of two because it gives us a depth perception of our senses. We humans often think of two things..the beginning of and the end… Our two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, two legs..and so on..give us all a range of depth: for example, a beginnging say, 1 and an end…say 10. and the combinations of the two senses give us a precise description of what number is inbetween, or in otherwords in gives us a clear range with a beginnging and end, in which to understand our world we live in.

Answer #5

I think that back in the day when we only had one of everything a lot of cyclops people were getting their eyes poked out. (there used to be a lot of pointed sticks getting thrown around back then)

so eventually we mutated to make up for this. nature decided that we should have 2 of everything as a spare.

Answer #6

you know if we had one of everything it would be hard to get the sticks to throw at each other. hopping around like idiots.

Answer #7

I don’t think anyone can possibly give you the answer to that, nobody could know 100% why.
