How would I phrase the sentence to tell my mom?

Hey, I was wondering how exactly do I tell my mom I have a boyfriend? I asked her in the past if I could have one and she said no, but I’m sure she knew I said yes to the guy who asked me out anyways. And so now I have a new boyfriend and well, I’ve actually known him for about 6 years and she knows and she likes him. Also, here’s some more information. I’m very close to my mom and I had a huge crush on my boyfriend for the first two years that I knew him.

So now I want to know how to tell her. I’m not scared to, but I’m not exactly sure how I would phrase it. . . Thanks for the help/reading!

you could start by saying something like “so mom, you like (his name) right?, you think he’s a good guy? and I’m sure you know that I really like him… well he asked m out… and I said yes…” something like that… I’m sure she would understand… my mom always joked about how I couldn’t have a boyfriend till I was 30, lol… and then when she found out that I was dating my boyfriend, she was just kind of instantly used to the idea… like she knew it was coming eventually, so she just accepted it… good luck, hope it all works out…

Just come out and tell her. Tell her you’re old enough, mature enough.

Well, I don’t want to say it as such because my mom trusts me completely. I just want to tell her, but I’m not sure how to say it. I don’t want to just say “Hey mom. Guess what? I have a boyfriend.” because. . . actually, I’m not sure why I don’t want to say it like that, I just don’t,
