Very carefully, and if you’re talking about a guy…well, they steralize.

Then, they give you some local anesthetic…or full blown, not sure which.

Finally, they take a catheter (you know, medical term for long pointy tube) and then stick it…where liquid is supposed to come out NOT where things are supposed to go in…yuck.
