How to write a song.

I lost my beloved grampy back on september 11th 08, and we all miss him very much. Seeing as it is christmas, I wanto to write a song about christmas without him. I wan it to be about how we all miss him, and how sad it is going to be without having him around to celbrate with.

Have you got any suggestions for song names?

I dont know how to describe it… I write songs constantly depending on how I feel. Basically I just write down my thoughts and feelings and put them in whatever kind of order that sounds the best to me.

I think a good title for your song would be christmas memories.

I am sorry about your loss. I am sure that it will be hard for you to celebrate Christmas without your grandfather. I think a good name for your song would be “Christmas Memories with Grampy.” You could discuss memories of your grandfather from Christmas in your song. I am not certain what your third question means, so I cannot help you.

writing a song is just like writing poetry, except you need to think of a melody for this. it doesn’t have to rhyme, so don’t worry about that. here’s the process I usually use: write down your thoughts, doesn’t matter what order; it can be random put it in the order that you want it to be in the song go back and edit; change any words to make it rhyme, if you want, or add mroe descriptive words. then the hard part: finding a nice melody for the song.

this is a pretty easy process, but if you should need extra help, I can give more suggestions.
