How to send a letter to England?

Im sending someone in England a Christmas letter but I dont know how I would format it, like here in the us itd be like;

7632 Maple Drive Ashton, Texas 77015

How would I do it for England and how many stamps do I put on it?

also does it have to have a return address?

Answer #1

You always should put a return address on it, write the address the way it has been given to you, in England they tend to say Happy Christmas instead of Merry Christmas, and the post office will tell you how many stamps you will need.

Answer #2

write it like this:

Mr & Mrs London, :- name 999 Birmingham Road, :- house number & road Birmingham, :- city West Midlands, :- county B88 900 :- post code England :- country

dont put any stamps on it… just take it to the post office and tell the person behind the counter: ‘england plase’

id but the return addy on the opposite side of the envelope :)

Answer #3

Name of the person (I.e Miss Hill Tropper) Number of house and road (I.e 7 Millicant Close) City/town/village (I.e Southampton) County (I.e Hampshire) Country (I.e England)

Then take it to the post office and ask how many stamps or something :/ and say to them that you want it to be sent to England and leave a return address just incase it doesn’t get there.
