How to not get influenced by a certain type of music

I used to enjoy screamo music until my mind started telling me that I wanted to learn how to scream which changed my attitude and the amount of time spent on my classical guitar which my parents pay good money for. I did enjoy the music but I am asking if there is a way that my mind wont want me to learn how to scream so I can just listen to it without putting any interest into it.

Woah I thought screaming was a natural human action? I have friends who listen to screamo and nothing happened to them

Still maybe you should try listening to some other music. Not wipe out screamo from your music library completely btw, but mix in some new genres for more variety. Best of luck

as people grow up, they change there opinions, intrests and personal preferences change sometimes theyll still like a few things they did as a kid or when they were young but everything…enviroment, food, what you read, watch, listen to, everything will affect you in one way or another and a lot of those things will help influence you towads new intrests and things thats how people grow if you like screamo, then if its your kind of thing, youd probably want to learn to sing like they do and when people find something new to do, they ususlaly put off an older intrest either on hold, or for good your just growing it doesnt really matter how much the guitar costed if you have more fun screaming, scream all you want if you have more fun playing guitar, get back into it if you want, you can do both but really your the only person who can choose what will influence you
