How to make shapes use the keyboard?

alt+3= ♥ you can do that for any buttons… but you have to hold down both buttons at the same time then let go to insert the shape. you can also do multiple numbers at the same time to get different shapes. But it only works with the number on the pad keyboard to your rite.
