Take the string or yarn you will use for your necklace, and cut four even pieces.
Set aside two pieces of tape.
Tie the four pieces of string together up at the top.
Take two of the pieces and twist them together, clockwise, until the material begins to curl / kink up. Set these two pieces aside (it’s suggested to tape them to a nearby surface, whether it be your work area or table).
Do the same thing with the other two pieces, then untape the first two, and hold each of the two twisted pieces in your hands.
Take the two twisted pieces, and twist them the opposite direction (counterclockwise) together. At first, it will kink up, but then it will settle and be a twisty rope necklace!
