How to make a pinata?

Specifically a shape of a human. I searched up some how to videos like on youtube and they all use balloons to form the round shape. I don’t want a round shape. So how are pinata like the horse ones made? They’re not round.

One of the best tricks I have learned is ANYTHING can be a form for your paper mache pinata. For example I am currently working on a mermaid. I uesd two 2-liter bottles side by side with a plastic grocery bag over them(for easy removal of the paper mache when it is dry) then made cardboard from an empty cereal box into a cone and taped it to the top amd cut tailfins from thicker cardboard and put it at the very top. Then 3-4 laters of paper mache. This is the bottom 1/2 of my mermaid. The top 1/2 will also be done on the 2-liter bottles accept this time adding paper towel rolls for arms and a balloon for the head instead of the cone and fins. I hope this helped :)

there are also different shaped balloons nowdays like longer ones you could make the arms and legs with of get a bunch of those of different sized balloons and tape them together to form a shape or say, the bod of it

You can use a wire frame, rather than a balloon, the downside of course is that it’s going to be harder to break open…

what I would do is use a wire frame for sections, and then papier mache them together.

with balloons, paper towel rolls and tp rolls. use a smaller balloon for head, a larger one for the stomach area, then tape like one paper towel roll to a tp roll to make an arm, tape that to body, the tape 2 paper towel rolls togetrher to make leg of course double everything, then cover in several layers of paper mache. I would paint it to make it look more human.
