How to "lighten" hair color

I have brown hair. But in the summer it gets lighter. Is it possiable to make my hair light without bleaching it?

not really lemmon juice is a natural bleach so putting it in your hair and sitting in the sun for a bit will lighten it but it takes quite a few times and after a while, will still damage your hair its easier to go to the salon and get it profesionally done and tell them what colour you want it to be …blonde/light brown/ect

but I don’t want my hair to be dammaged. and I don’t want to walk out with white pee stained colored hair. (thats what bleached hair looks like to me)

ok, I am going to give you the best advice of my life hahahaha GO TO THE SALON! I tried to lighten my hair by my self, and it went green! haha now I am taking this cosmetology class, I know know more about hair, and I am telling you…go to the salon and they will do it good for you :) good luck.
