How to know the colour yur hair will turn before yu dye it?

So I wanted to go blonde, I had lightish brown hair. I just wanted to go a little lighter because my skin is very pale and I have blue, reddy/brown eyes. (ps. Didn’t rele want to go blonde, im actually so envious of people with dark hair and olive skin, but im soo pale.) any way my hair dresser sugested light ash brown(not sure if its blonde or brunnette) so I said okay.it turned out lighter than I wanted and it went alburny and strawberry blonde in some parts. Luckly it matched me, but now it’s winter, less sun, therefore im even pailer, twilight pale (lol), so I figure blonde is the right thing for me. By gradually lightening the colour that I get my roots retouched in work? Or will my hair change into some unpredictable colour again?

Ps, saw other comments & questions, and people are telling other people that hair dying will perminantly damage yur hair, may I remind people that hair is constantly growing :p oh and this is just a tip for people wanting to go blonde, if yu have dark eyes and tanner skin, do not go blond, this is my public service, it doesnt look natural, and yur skin shuld never be darker than yur hair, it looks good the way it is girls:)

It is very hard to choose the right dye for your hair. I dye my hair all the time and it is hard to get it exactly how you want it. The best way to go blonde I would say is to choose the shade you want to use (be realistic, it may look nice on the packet but will it actually suit you?) and also to buy a Pre-lightener. You use the pre-lightener first and this will turn your hair and awful shade, but not to worry that gives you a nice even base for you to apply your blonde colour onto. Also dying does damage your hair, but unless you do it a LOT you will not notice any differance. Just make sure to invest in a really good conditioner - it makes all the differance. However if your hair has gone dry and brittle and the ends are breaking off, I would suggest a hot oil treatment, that should help sort out the problem.

This isn’t true. Its not a hair rule. Your skin can be darker than your hair and it will still look fine as long as you’re not wayyy darker. And blonde hair, in my opinion, tends to look worse with pale skin. Dark hair and pale skin is beautiful. [P.S. Don’t tell other people to be comfortable with the way they look when you do not feel comfortable with yourself.]

Also, ‘’Ps, saw other comments questions, and people are telling other people that hair dying will perminantly damage yur hair, may I remind people that hair is constantly growing’’

Also not true. You can damage your hair to the point that it stops growing. And no, that only doesn’t happen by dying it over and over. It can happen in one sitting especially if you don’t have a decent hair dresser. [Never get it done at places like Fantastic Sams or anything like that. Spend a little extra and go to a more high end place]

So, find a picture of the exact color you want to go with and take it to your hair dresser. Tell them that its the color you would like and let them work. They’ll make it work for your hair or suggest something else if they know its going to fry your hair. Going to blonde will kill your hair much quicker than any other color if you’re going drastic. The only thing you can do is ask the person who does your hair beforehand to know what color THEY can get it to. And NEVER EVER use a box color. It will never come out right, fades fast, kills your hair, and takes AGES to get it out for a new color.
