How to get your parents to loosen up a lot?

my mom wont let me out of her site. she thinks as soon as she does I will get pregnant or get into drugs but she has no reason to think that. I guess its because thats what she did when she was my age.

Maybe she is trying to protect you from things that she encountered when she was your age.

She is charged, by nature and by law, to try to bring you up in the best way she possibly can. Grant her the right to err on the side of caution. Soon enough you will be out on your own where you can do as you want. For now, yield to her experience and knowledge. It’s a matter of respecting her and what she has gone through in giving you the best that she can give you.

I get that its just cause she loves me and am sure I havent given her any reasons. her mom was like her best friend and she let her do anything. and now she is WAY to strick on me. none of its my fault.

She’s aware of the many dangers out there today - respect her - she’s looking after your best interests - tell her you understand and see if some compromise can be worked out…I wish you the best !!

Think, real hard. Are you sure she doesn’t have a reason to think that? Maybe she is worried about becoming a grandma. I know I am. my ex-husbands girlfriends daughter just had a baby and he calls himself grandpa to him and that gives me the heebie jeebies. I am only 33 years old and NOT ready for a grand baby. I can understand where your mom is coming from. Look at all the drug usage going on out there. Prove to your mom you are a good girl and she’ll give you some slack. It’s not going to happen over night though. Thats life and thats how ti goes.

I think my parents dont trust me what do I do they wont even let me play spin the bottle geez its just a kiss I know protection right I love them but I need freedom thats how I learn
