How to get over my shyness?

Just let it go and wait till it comes to you,

I use to be shy… and know im not, I’m outgoing and different, You just gatta wait for you to change and find your rela self.

I’m a jew, but the christians got at least one thing right: The Lord helpeth those who help themselves. Waiting to find the real you either wont work or wont work fast enough. Take action! Go places! Do stuff! I’m shy too but I try to get over it. If you talk to someone in 99 cases out of 100 they will talk back. In the halls just smile or say hi. In study hall ask someone for help on a problem, and work with them for the rest of the period. Sit with a random group of people at lunch and just listen to the conversation. If you speak when you truly have something to say, that thing to say will be worthwhile, not just like “OMG Joey did WHAAAT???” Thats kind of stuff doesnt matter. If you talk when you have something important to say, people will notice you anyway. That’s just on the subject of getting more friends. Boys are a completely different story.
