How to get my boyfriend's Mother to like me?
My boyfriend and i have been going out now for more than a year and he and my mother get on like a house on fire. What i want to know is how can i have a better relationship with his mother? It’s not that i think that she hates me, it’s just that maybe she might not like me all that much for her son. My boyfriend says i’m over reacting and his mother does like me and maybe i am being delusional but i still want a better relationship with her. Can anybody tell me ways of how to get his mother to like me? Oh and confrontation with her about how i feel is not an option, i’m super shy.
As long as you hide your head in the sand and avoid talking straight there really isn’t any way to “get” her to like you. If you could actually tell her that you would really like to better your relationship with her, this would be not only be mature which most people respect, but it would show her that you care about how she feels. You say that you are shy but it’s a lot harder to continually have to confront her and defend yourself then just to cut to the chase and put your cards on the table. You might never get along with her but if you don’t try you’ll never know. Your intentions are good, fallow them through!
Dear anjol, Does your boyfriend lie to you? He must because he told you that his mom likes you and you don’t believe him…so he’s a lier? NO, of course he isn’t so believe him. Are you shy or is it more insecure? They are two different things. If you want a better relationship with his mom you and your boyfriend should be planning more events with her…shows, dinners, etc. The more you’re around her the more you can open up to her.
