How to get mew in pokemon fire red
well apparently "to get mew beat the elite 4 then go to oak`s lab to catch mew"
I don't have fire red but I've got Pokemon yellow and all and all the other up to silver and gold versions...and in yellow you can get mew by=
Do not fight the gambler facing the house in between Lavender Town and Saffron City. Go to the door of the house and save your game. (You cannot save your game once you have started this or else it will undo the glitch that will give you Mew.)
Step towards the gambler and immediately press start. If done correctly you will bring up the start menu before the gambler sees you. Go to your flying Pokemon and fly to Cerulean City.
The gambler will then see you but you will fly away. (Your Start, A, and B buttons will not work during this point.) Walk up Nugget Bridge and then go to the 5th trainer after Nugget Bridge. (He will be facing up.) He is a youngster with a slowpoke.
Defeat his slowpoke, and then your Start, A, and B buttons will function again. Fly back to Lavender Town and walk towards Saffron City.
Your menu should pop up by itself. Hit B to exit it, and then you will enter a battle with a Mew, where you can try to capture it.
so if fire red has safron city and all that then this is a sure fire way to get mew...I know because I have him! :D otherwise try the first thing.

I KNOW HOW!!! me and my cousin had to go to the store Toys are Us on a certain day and they had an even tthing going on. I then got in a trade from a guy at the store who had an entire PC full of mew. they are lvl 10 when you get them. I then migrated it to my pearl game so I now have a lvl 100 mew on pearl. NO ACTION REPLAY/GAMESHARK/CODEBREAKER USED!!!
mew is where you go to the ss ane there is water on the sides do not get cut from the chief sailor guy just go get surf and strength then come back go on the water get to the other side push the truck with strength mew is right there save have a bunch of ultra balls ready he's lv 30 catch him get cut and your done
That's only in the Japanese Version that you can move the truck. Are you doing this with a real game or an emulator. If you're using an emulator, get the Japanese version and move the truck, then trade up all the way through the game, that's how I did it.
but the truck can't be moved !!! how can I do :O ??? I used strength and all skill but still remain stuck...

I don't think you can unless you go to a nintendo event. I was po'd at that.
