How to get confidence to sing in front of people?

how do you do it tho, my mum, her brother (my uncle) have always said I am a brilliant singer, but when I sing along to a song in the car I have to turn my head and sing realy quiet

 I need HELP I really want to go on the X-Factor xxx

Take a tip from me, if you want to be famous, rich and a legend and to be remembered DON’T go on the X-Factor, make it the way all the best people have by playing gigs and getting more experience, people who win the X-Factor are no more than session musicians, they get given the songs to sing, are told what to wear and only receive a small amount of the royalties, trust me, make it by yourself and don’t expect everything to be handed to you, people who win X-Factor hardly last and the chances of you winning are slim regardless of your vocal talent, team up with a guitarist or pianist and they’ll be able to improve your singing a lot more, build confidence with them and then you can start gigging, trust me, it’s a lot better in the long run..

first, record yourself and see how you sound, if you sound good (which you probally do) then try performing in frount of a family member, then friends. Then just take it from their. And try composing your own song with friends or on your own, belive me it works, I’ve got to perform 2night and I’ve recorded my voice and now I have a bit more confidence.

omg courtney im the same way and my name is also courtney I only sing in front of my closest friends and my cusions I get really scared when im in front of a lot of people and singing all I do is close my eyes and imagine im alone it works some times well for me anyway hope you get better with your confidence :D ;)

remember: confidence is very attractive so dont take shyness into your adulthood

your prob worried about making a fool out of yourself infront of strangers

start singing infront of your mom: shes not a stranger and will be your best friend till the day she dies which means shell give you a honest oppinion

just get on that stage with your back straight and your head held high and go for it
