How to get baby to walk.

How can I get my ten month old son to walk? He kinda stands by himself for a few seconds, but thats it. He barely wants to walk while holding our hands.

Answer #1

hold his hands and walk behind him so that you can catch him if he falls… he might not be ready yet could be all it is.

Answer #2

Why the hurry? lots of kids don’t walk until after 12 months. When you take your son in for his 1 year checkup your pediatrician will probably give you a questionnaire about what your son is and isn’t doing. If you have any concerns your son’s development than your pediatrician is the best resource.

Answer #3

then he is not ready to, get him one of those walker things and he will figure it out in his own time.. all children are different… and they all learn at their own pace…

Answer #4

I’m with filletofspam- children learn at different rates, I’ve worked with one child who was nearly two when he started to take his shaky first steps. If you’re really concerned, talk to your paediatrician, but it’s not really a big deal at this stage.

Answer #5

I guess you could go a few feet away from him and hold out somthing he really likes like food or a toy. He might come get it then mabye haha
