You have to strip the existing colour from your hair to a shade where you can then achieve the kind of blonde you want by adding a pigment. This is always better done by professionals using their products. If you can’t afford this (it is expensive in Britain) then you can do some highlights yourself at home using a ready made kit. Your hair looks quite fair in the picture so it might not take long to get some nice highlights. I have naturally dark hair with a lot of red in it which is really difficult to ‘lift’ and peroxide damages my hair because I have to leave it on for ages to get the effect I want. Mostly these days, hairdressers advise highlights rather than a full head bleach. Highlights look more natural and modern and cause less damage. They are easier to maintain too. ou could totally transform your look in an evening.
