How to count an Anniversary

Hi, I just recently got married. My husband and I would like to celebrate the first month and then the year anniversary. In his culture that’s what is done. So my question is this: We got married July 9th around 3pm. Do I count the 9th as the first day or do I start counting from July 10th as the first day? I mean, if I count from the 10thm then today, July 29th would be the 20th day we’ve been married, but if I count from July 9th, the actual day we did get married then July 29th would be our 21st day. So what would be the proper way to calculate the days as far as having an Anniversary? Thank you so much and thank you for the help! :)

OMGGG you are confusing yourself even further.

OK you commence counting from the 9th July at 3pm… So for example if you got married on the 9th July @ 3pm, then 10th July @ 3pm would be 1 day…then…10th July @3pm to 11th July @ 3pm would be day 2 …from there you can work out per month etc… when you calculate your anniversary date, that first month is also included regardless if you celebrated it… (simple as bananas)

Your own calculation regarding the 29th July or 20th July doesn’t make sense and I’m confused as ever…For you, your togetherness anniversary date is from 9th July and you start counting from there…Let say, you and your husband got together on the 9th July 2008 then July 9th 2009 is 1 YEAR being together…lol I’m buffled as why it’s so hard for you to get your head around the numbers :o …

The steps is the same as counting time eg: 8am - 9am is 1 hour…then 9am - 10am is another 1 which equals 2 hours so far :) lolll

It is really simple. If you were married July 9th, a month from that would be August 9th and so forth. There you have it. :)
