How Successful are Online Degrees?

I sincerely believe that you don’t have to qo to colleqe to be successful and I’m finna shooot every damn person who says oh you MUST go blah blah blah. if you think about it, you’ll probably make more money with the tuition money you would have spent than qoinq to colleqe and throwinq dollars out there. what I don’t like is that they expect all these people to have ridicuously high GPA’s (the really good colleges like UC’s) and IQ’s. let me tell you something: a person is BORN with an IQ. it can’t be magically earned. you either get it or you don’t.. and if I don’t WANT to spend hours of my life listening to some teacher bullshit and me end up flunking out, then I shouldn’t have to go. so if hope others feel like I do,,because you CAN be successful without college. they don’t want to educate you;they just want your money. real talk.

anyway back to the question..are they successful because I really want a degree in Greek Mythology,, but I don’t know if they’re a fraud or if they ever work out or what.?

a lot of online schools are rip offs. There credits aren’t transferable, and they carry no credit to employers. What I suggest is check with your local community college. See what they offer. If you want to do online, then see if they offer online courses.

And yes, you CAN be successful without college, but it gets your foot in the door, and employers are going to talk to the person with the degree over the person without any day no questions.

Answer #2

It all depends on your area of study. If you want to be a musician or painter, you don’t need college. If you want to be a research scientist, teacher, physician. Well, you need it. But if you want to have your own business and work hard, then great. Be careful about online degrees. Most promise everything and deliver nothing. And if you are looking for a good job, that requires a degree, an online degree will be laughed at. You would be better attending a 2 year college, get your associates and go from there. I attended 4 year colleges and enjoyed every minute. As a result, I have a good profession and nice income.

Answer #3

If you view college as a waste of time it will be. People shouldn’t go to college just to go to college or because they think it will make them more successful; they should go to college because they have a desire to learn something that the college offers. It is true that we all have our own innate intelligence but it can be developed to greater or lesser degrees. I can guaranty you that you can become smarter by studying demanding subjects. The brain is like a muscle; the more you use it the smarter you become.

If you do the on-line school thing stick with colleges that are fully accredited.
