How should I tell my mom I want to quit band?!?!?

My mom and stepdad have tried REALLY hard to get me in band and they have always told me grades are more important than what you want.O.k I am band right now and I go every other day(it’s part of our school system) ,but my grades have been slipping in s.s and science and I have to keep going to my 6th period ACE science class where there is another teacher there so I can get more help!Here is what I mean: Lunch 6th period ACE days(every other day)-Science 6th period BDF days(everyother day)-Band 7th period ACE days(every other day)-Studyhall 7th period BDF days(every other day)-Science So I have to keep going to 6th pariod science instead of band.And to get my grade up,I have to quit.How am I going to tell my mom I have to quit so I can get my grades back up?!I am sssooo afraid!She is not the kind of mom who beats me and treats me like crap.She tries to make me happy and I love her to death,but I am scared!HELP?!?!

all you have to do is tell your mom that you need to stop taking band because band is not going to help you get a job but passing your classes is. so if you want me to pass my classes then I am going to have to quit band because it is taking up to much of my time and I cant do band and all of my classes. its getting to be to much I tried and now I want to stop.

just tell your mum that you know all she wants is for you to succeed in life, but also for you to be happy. then you can tell her that you think grades are more important thn band, so coul you please quit because your science grades are starting to slip. just explain your situation to her and if she loves you im sure she’ll understand. good luck! :)

I have band and it sucks chocolate blls.It’s so boring just tell them your not gonna waste your time trying band because you won’t get far in life…Oh I can play a baratone or however you spell it I’m gonna be rich<–FAIL Oh I am good at math which involves engineering which makes a lot of money*<—JACK POT BABY! BTW I’m a dude and I play the flute
