How should I deal with my boyfriend having pics of kids on his cell?

A while back my boyfriend was broosing his pics on his cell phone. I was in the vicinity and noticed he had a variety of pictures of children he works with on his phone. He works with at risk youth who are anywhere from the age of 5-12 years old. I asked him why he had so many pictures of these kids on his phone, and he replied “they take my phone and snap pics of themselves, and I hadn’t erased them”. Initially, I was a little leary of this answer. I told him I thought it to be inappropriate to have the pictures on his phone. He got defensive and asked if I was suggesting he was a child molester. I said no, I just thought being as I work with children as well, its a boundary you just don’t cross. The kids he works with are usually kids who are state mandated to not have contact with their parents. I’m not sure that he is maintaining appropriate boundaries, but his job does require him to be a “father figure” to the kids. Is it appropriate for him to have photos of these kids on his phone?

Yes it is. Why wouldn’t it be. If he’s to be a father figure ten him keeping the pics on his phone is a way of showing he cares about them

I’m sorry but if your 13 and dating a guy who has a job that suggests he’s significantly older then you. Thats extremely illegal.
