How much money would it take to get a 2005 Mustang?

I own an ‘05 GT :) I bought mine with 55k miles on it for $17,000. That was roughly a year and a half ago, or maybe more. You can probably find them as low as $14,000-ish now and as high as $19,000, depending on the mileage. Don’t quote me on that because I haven’t shopped for GT’s in awhile, but that would be my guess. I know that to sell mine now, it would be worth close to $13,000, so that’s what I’m basing my numbers on since dealers jack up the prices. It will also depend on whether you got a manual or auto (mine’s an auto), and if it’s a convertible or not (mine isn’t, but why would you want a convertible V8?).

I have an ‘04 Mustang Cobra as well, and I’ve owned a ‘99 GT. Thus I have sort of been around the block when it comes to stangs. If you have any other questions about the car, just shoot me a funmail :)

To get a good range of prices for certain cars though, use autotrader.com and run a search based on your criteria. To look for a GT, click on the ‘’Search by mileage, color, engine, features & keyword’’ option, and then type in the keyword GT. Don’t click on the motor or anything because a lot of times things won’t be classified correctly. All three of my mustangs were found on autotrader, so I’m a firm advocate for that place :) Good luck, and I hope to see you on the roads…haha

Also, I’m sure you’re aware of this, but the ‘05 model lasted through 2009, so if you find a 2006 that happens to be priced less than an ‘05, it’ll be the same car. Actually, it might even be a better car because ‘’05 was the transition year between the ‘99-‘04 models and the next round. They likely didn’t work out all the kinks until ‘06.
