How much jail time for abortion if it were criminalized?

For our Government to impose a law about abortion, they have to separate religion out of it.

I am pro-choice but I do believe there is a certain point in the pregnancy where abortion just becomes criminal and irresponsible. You should know at the first instant of finding out you’re pregnant if you want to continue the pregnancy or terminate it.

Some people will argue that it is such a huge decision… all the more reason to already have formed your opinion and plan ahead of time if it were to happen.

For instance if I had an unplanned pregnancy right now I would continue it. Only because I am in a stable relationship and my financial situation is stable. Now if I had an unplanned pregnancy 2 years ago it would be a completely different story.

Many religions frown upon abortion… fine then don’t have them! But let the woman decide on her own, free of religious restraint. Isn’t that why she lives in the USA?

It’s wrong it should be considered Murder with either a life sentance with out parole or the Death sentance for all involved. God told Isaih in the Bible that He knew him while he was still in the womb. God Basically said in this statement life was present before birth and who are we to contradict God.

well its up to the lady its her body and no one should tell her whut to do! if your constanly getting them then that is a problem foe real! then you need some help and should talk to someone! if your raped then i think you get one! in the long run it will only hurt! life is to short to be getting hurt and feeling like nuthing!

I think that if a girl gets abortion they should get like a year of jailtime then 2 years of probabtion and they should not be able to have anymore kids even if down the road they won’t one but if you get raped then thats different but to me they would have to prove they got raped and I don’t mean screw everybody then say they got raped anybody could say that to witch is nothing to be proud of

Even if they were raped, they could still have the baby and then give it up for adoption. Why kill a child? They are not responsible. As for jail time, I honestly don’t know. Each situation is different.

I am pro-life, but I am not sure if there should be jail-time involved for the woman. She is probably in extreme emotional stress and shouldn’t be held legally culpable, however I think that there should defintely be a period of counselling and possibly psychological treatment required. If she is a repeat offender, then that might change things. The major legal issue is to what extent the father should be held responsible.

The major penalty should fall on abortion providers; the doctors who literally get rich off of infanicide.

I THINK THAT ITS WRONG! THATS BECAUSE…ITS THE GIRLS FALT FOR HAVING SEX AND IF SHE DIDNT WANT TO GET PREGNATE…THEN SHE SHOULD OF THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE HAVING SEX… BUT ITS DIFFERENT WHEN A GIRL GETS RAPED… ITS STILL WRONG, AND ITS A HARD CHOICE TO MAKE, THATS BECAUSE ITS MURDER.!!!

I agree with Oneheartnow. It really doesn’t make sense to murder because something bad happened to you. Sh*t happens- I know it sounds icy and emotionless, but honestly, I’ve been through that too.. and it’s not fair to take away a life because you’ve been raped. It doesn’t matter. Bad things happen, but one of my best friends came from a Rape-Pregnancy situation& he is one of the BEST people I know..

Things like this just should NOT be tolerated.

i dont think it should be crime really cus its up to the women what she does with the unborn , buts its also the mens thought so has anyone thought about making it a crime for knocking these women up as it takes 2 to creat a life it shouldnt all be down to the women. and sometime some women need to have an abortion like if the child bwill sufer all of its life, or it puts the mother in danger, or if the women is raped, or if the parents cant afford to raise the child and so it will lead a poor life, so it shoudlnt be a crime i dont see why people think like that its hard enough if a women gets herself preganant without thinking that if she gets rid of it then she will be punished!!! X
