How much do hairdressers make?

I am thinking about going to college and applying to be a hairdresser but I have heard you dont get paid that much how much do you get ruffily an hour?x

You really work for tips. Pay all depends on how good you are and the scores you get. I know hairdressers that struggle to makes $25,000 working at Great Clips but I also know a Hairdresser who works at a Saloon and makes $60,000+

If you go to an upscale school it cost around 25,000 and then after you get done you have to start paying the school usually 6 months after you’ve been out. A lot of places are commission and most of the time you have a rental booth. If you are lucky you could work in an upscale salon such as Planet 21 or Carmen and Carmen. Then you are likely to get more money because of differrent clientele. It’s really fun, but doesn’t always pay off…at first. Especially in this economy right now, it will take some time..
