How many perms till it fries my hair?

Is there a general rule about when to stop getting perms to keep my hair from getting fried? I have had like 4 perms in the past 6 weeks and I was told by a friend that my hair was going to fry and get all frizzy. I use all sorts of hair gook so I never noticed any problems and my stylist never said anything.

I don’t want to lose my hair. It is who I am!! Should I risk my fabulous look in favor of caution?

4 perms in the past 6 weeks is a LOT of perms ! i think the general rule for perms is ONE every SIX weeks. ! Stop immediatly, cut your hair and cut all the split ends out. If you have short hair then perm every 6-8 weeks and it will keep it’s short curly style, if you have long hair you can continue to cut and perm every 6-8 weeks without anyone noticing any problem.

If you REALLY HAVE had 4 perms in 6 weeks you’ve already fried your hair (which is dead to begin with) and you need to cut as much as possible to keep from totally frying it out.
