How long till a kitten can get fixed?

My sisters cat had kittens and she’s having troubles getting rid of them and since I’m moving into a new place I told her I could take one of the little girls.

How soon can I get her fixed? (I don’t have any male cats I just want to get it over with)

Answer #1

3 months old is enough, like for puppies, they have to be taken a away from the mother 3 months after born.. as long as they can drink or eat a bit of solids, they’d be fine.. Ü

Answer #2

6 months, but you can talk about it with your vet and based on the animal’s weight and size they may feel comfortable doing it a little earlier.

Answer #3

yeah I would guess between 6 months- a year, because your not supposed to breed until they are at least one year old, sooo maybe that’s the right time to fix them as well?

Answer #4

6 months seems like a long time to me, my old cat I don’t think we waited quite that long unless I’m mistaken.

Thanks both :)

Answer #5

I’ve read 6 months but best to check with your Vet.
