How long does it take for sugar to get into your bloodstream?

Answer #1

hey I think that this girl may be so interested in diabetes because it is diabetes awarness month. I think that so people on this site really have to lighten up on how they say things.

Answer #2

who says they are trying to fake it? the only use I could think of for faking it is extreme bodybuilding (to get cheap insulin) but those types “usually” know their stuff enough not to screw up their junk overnight (which using insulin haphazardly will do)

anyhow as you are diabetic already I would advise cutting out sugar altogether. because if your lifestyle doesn’t change then it gets much worse before it gets better. Obesity is the logical next step, circulatory problems and worsely heart complications/failure being if left till the end.

I would recommend cutting out any drink in a can first. Then adding stevia for all your cooking/drinks (tea,lemonaid,etc..)

Stevia does not raise blood sugar AT ALL (in fact it has healthy benefits where as table sugar is about as good for you as soaking in a bathtub of cocaine and bleach is- difference is one kills you quicker)

Pretty economical too as it is so much sweeter than sugar so you use much less (like 1/15th depending on type like powdered extract,leaf,mix,etc..)

If you aren’t into guesswork there is a supermarket product called truvia which is a mix of stevia and a natural sugar alcohol which is also harmless and it is no guesswork and much easier to get used to rather than straight stevia.

Bout the only thing I would use other than honey/fructose (which do raise blood sugar but otherwise are healthy). Never trust that man made crap. Studies are showing mice fed that junk have increased risk of this, increased developement of x cancer and all that so umm yeah fthat.

Ok let me break this down for you.

You eat and after 1 hour sugar starts to hit your system. that is of course if it is hard to break down.

orange juice hits fastest and should never be drank unless you are in a state of hypoglycemia and it is an emergency.

lets seee

oh there are things called primary glucose spikes and secondary glucose spikes.

You have simple and complex carbohydrates.

Simple carbs tend to break down and be absorbed quickly and spike your sugar fast, these are your candies, juices, raw sugars, and chocolate bars.

Complex carbs are harder to break down, after your simple carbs are through and you have taken your insulin for that sugar spike, your blood sugar will spike again after the complex carbs have been completely broken down.

All in all. Watch what you eat. don’t be retarded and eat something you know is going to hurt you metabolically. After you get done eating check your blood sugar an HOUR AFTER EACH MEAL. and only take your insulin according to the directions of your doctor.

Do not under any circumstance inject yourself with insulin after you eat and check your sugar too soon again and reinject yourself if you do you will die, go hypo glycemic, coma, or did I mention…die?

either way that one goes it will be horrible for you so watch what you do. I learned the hard way.

I notice you’ve been asking a lot of questions about how to fake diabetes…I don’t think you realize how dangerous of a game that can be.

If you fake having diabetes, they’ll give you medicine. This medicine, if you don’t already need it, will put you into a coma–at best, and kill you–at worst.

sorry I posed that twice

Answer #8

Most people get tired after eating. The body works very hard to metabolize the food we eat and consequently we become tired or sleepy. For a type 1 diabetic this might be more exaggerated. ?? Not sure because I’m type 2 but I get very tired after eating if I relax, watch TV, etc. The dizzy part is usually a sign of diabetes.I.e. high sugar. Perhaps you should keep a good check on your sugar after eating and adjust your insulin accordingly.

Answer #9

I am not trying to fake dibetes. I was just diagnosed with type 1. I asked this question because I had been feeling especialy tired and dizzy after eating. I was wondering if it was because of diabetes. I am a very smart person and would never do something to kill myself. I just wanted to tell you that. Although I thank you for being concerned and I probably would have done the same thing.
