I have just wanted to know how long til you can move up a size in gaugescause I have 18s
i wait atleast 3 weeks to size up.this may take longer for you as you are new to it so it may scare you a bit lol. going up from a 18 to a 16 is a pretty big change for a first timmer. it does hurt and it going to be odd at first but just one tip..dont stop in the middle of sizing up keep going lol or it'll be owrse. to decrease pain try putting peircing safe antibacterial soap, such as Provon or Dial, this will help the rings go in more smoothly. here is alink for a gauging chart http://funadvice.com/r/3jsebdiv4a. hope this all helps! -natalie

You should wait between 2-4 weeks to go up your in size.
About the same timeline they give you for changing the piercing earring they give you when they pierce your ear.
Hippie is correct only go up one size as it will hurt if you do more.
As you get higher in sizes if you go to fast you can also blow your ear out resulting in basically having two separate ear lobes.
Honestly though gauging doesn't hurt that bad I'm a 00 and I only found it painful from 4-2 and 2-0 because I changed very quickly then.
Wait a few weeks, to make sure your ears are fully healed. When you go up only go up one size at a time so you'll be going up to a 16. Gauging hurts a lot though so be prepared.
