Define what you mean by ovulation? Because most websites refer to it as the time when the egg is released and that takes about a day. As far as I understand that does not include the egg travelling into your body.

And how can you make your vagina smell better? Firstly if it smells fishy or any strange odor is coming from it, then you need to see your doctor, you could have an infection (infections are not always sexually related, so you do not have to feel embarrassed at all)

As for the rest of the time, there isn’t much you can do to make your vagina smell different than normal.

However, here are some tips for general hygiene and to avoid getting infections:

1. NEVER EVER douche, that is the worst thing that you can do in terms of hygiene.
2. Use regular, NON-scented soap, scented soap can make things more smelly
3. Stick to wearing plain white cotton underwear (yes, boring, but nylon and other materials can cause irritation and the coloured materials can sometimes cause bladder infections and other infections
4. Don’t overwash or overclean your vagina, it is a self cleaning organ and the discharge happens when it cleans itself.
5. If you have a lot of discharge, get some panty-liners
6. Feminine wipes are also a good way to feel fresher down there.
