How long do baby mollies need to stay in the breeding net ?

My molly had some babies and I put them into a breeding net on 3rd January 2010, they now eat flake food and are about the size of a neon. I have come down this morn to find that my molly has had more babies and have found over 20 in my tank. I have heard that it is not wise to keep the new babies with the first lot of fry I have got. So would it now be safe to put the first lot of fry into my tank with my other fish that I have in there ? The fish I have in my tank are a clownloach, 2 rummy nose tetras, 2 sail fin mollies, 1 odesa barb, 1 molly, and a sail fin plec. Can anyone please help with some advice ?

Answer #1

lol! dont sell them to a pet store! I think its okay to add it to the first lot… that is what I usually do… btw wats the logic behind not adding the new batch to the old…?

Answer #2

if there is a lot of greenery to provide some sort of shelter for the little guys I would go for it… or sell some to a pet store.
