How the menstrual cycle works?

Ok I was wondering exactly how the menstrual cycle works. Because my friend had unprotected sex one week after her peroid ended. And while she was having sex the guy pulled out then came. Her and I both were wondering how the menstrual cycle works and when is it a bad time to have sex

If she doesn’t know how her menstrual cycle works then she really shouldn’t be having unprotected sex… When a girl gets her period, she usually bleeds for 4-7 days. This varies between girls because everyone is different. Since your friend is probably young like you, her period isn’t regular. She may think it is but its not. Her body is still developping. 14 days after you finish your period(the last day of your period) you will begin ovulating again. Ovulating means producing an egg. Every month an egg is produced, your uterus prepares for a baby by lining it with tissue and blood to act as a cushion. If your egg is fertilized by sperm at the right time (more or less 14 days after your last period), you will be pregnant. If the egg is not fertilized, the blood and lining will come out through your vagina.

Its important to remember that no matter when you have sex there is always a chance of getting pregnant. Unprotected sex at your age is dumb. plaing and simple, use a condom, it makes no difference for the girl, if your guy doenst want to use one, he doesnt care about your body and the fact you might get pregnant. Tell him, with a condom or not at all.

Also keep in mind, sperm can live a few days in the vagina, and if the egg is released withing that time, it can still fertilize it.

be smart and use protection, reduce the possiblility of pregnancy. If the boy pulls out, there is a thing call pre cum that he releases that still has sperm in it.

To sum it up, 14 days after your period is when you are MOST fertile ( most likely to get pregnant), right after your period there is a lower chance but dont risk it! He will still enjoy sex with a condom

hope I helped

your friend should have learnt about sex education before she went off and had sex now shes most likley pregnant, and could possibly have an std too tell her this… out if your pregnant take a pregnancy test 2-3 weeks after you had sex (any sooner and the results won’t be accurate) in the morning with your first pee is the best time and take it when your period is due alternatively, see a doctor for a blood test this will both let you find out quicker and give you more accurate results and remember to LEARN about sex before you go off having it learn about as well as a male and female reproductive system birth control, contraception, pregnancy and sti/stds don’t have sex until you know the consequences involved with it because the main reason why kids and teens get pregnant and get stds is because of a lack of sex education

you can get pregnant at any time of the month at any time you have sex no form of birth control or contraception is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy either but obiously if she had of used some there would have been a much less chance so any time you have sex there’s a chance of pregnancy

Answer #3

It doesn’t matter if it is regular, she can still get pregnant during any time of the month she has sex. Sperm can stay in her body for up to 7 days. There is no safe time to have sex.

Answer #4

she said her cycle is always regular. she gets it every 26-28 days shes not on birth controll. but she said shes always regular

Answer #5

Sorry, but why is she even having sex if she doesn’t know how her menstrual cycle works? You can get pregnant ANY time you have sex, unless you are using protection. Even using protection isn’t 100% effective.
